I’m a Scottish-German social science researcher with an unquenchable passion for all things multispecies. If there’s a non-human involved, say no more, you already have all of my attention.

My background is in the humanities and linguistics, but at the time of writing (April 2022), I’m mid-way through a PhD in Social Anthropology at the University of Manchester funded by the NWSSDTP/ESRC/UKRI.

My current research concerns multispecies relationships within two different tourist contexts (archaeology and agriculture), and I am about to embark on 12 months of ethnographic fieldwork in rural central Norway. You can read more about this and other projects here.

On this website, I occasionally write blog posts to do with PhD life and recently I’ve also been posting book reviews, although not all are of academic books. If you would like to be updated when I post anything, please enter your e-mail address below.
